Given that VMware Fusion is all about running other operating systems on the Mac, it’s not surprising that the new release focuses on compatibility with the latest versions of OS X and Windows.įusion 6 is designed specifically to take advantage of new features in OS X Mavericks, including its refined handling of full-screen apps. VMware has just fired its salvo for 2013, releasing version 6 of its Fusion and Fusion Professional virtualization apps. Every year or so, the two companies release new versions of their apps, each trying to one-up the other. Both companies make virtualization apps- VMware Fusion and Parallels Desktop-which let you run Windows (and other operating systems) on your Mac.
